School clubs affiliated with Autistics United Canada are involved with autistic advocacy on campus, in and outside of classrooms. They advocate for better policies and services for autistic and neurodivergent students. Clubs also provide opportunities for students to meet and socialize.
High school, college, and university students can start AU-affiliated school clubs. The process is similar to starting a local chapter. As we do for local and provincial chapters, Autistics United Canada can provide peer support and advice for your club's advocacy goals. Student leaders must fulfill the requirements by their school or student society to establish the club.
Our requirements are that you:
Are run by self-identified autistic people
Are accessible and actively include autistic and disabled people of all backgrounds
Update Autistics United Canada once a month on your activities
Sign up all club members as members of Autistics United Canada
