Talking to Your MP About Autistic Self-Advocacy

This toolkit is about how to meet with your Member of Parliament (MP) to make sure that autistic views are heard by our government and that autistic self-advocacy groups will be consulted by the government when it makes autism policy. It has tips, steps, checklists, and scripts to guide you through the process. The toolkit was created in June 2019 by the Autistic Advocacy Coalition of Canada.

Sections:

  • Prepare for your meeting
  • Present your talking points during the meeting
  • Follow up with your MP after the meeting
